The 8th Chinese Congress of Paediatric Dermatology: News on Winona Baby
On September 23, 2023, the 8th Chinese Congress of Paediatric Dermatology was successfully held in Beijing. The purpose of this conference was to inspire discussions and exchanges among well-known pediatric dermatologists from all over China to improve China's overall standard and international influence in pediatric dermatology.
As one of the brands supporting the conference, Winona Baby also held a thematic session at the conference and officially launched a project to aid children with atopic dermatitis (AD).
On the afternoon of September 24, Professor Liu Xiaoyan, Chief Physician of the Dermatology Department at the Children's Hospital of Capital Institute of Pediatrics and Chairperson of the Pediatric Dermatology Professional Committee of the Chinese Association for Improving Birth Outcome and Child Development, gave a speech at the thematic session entitled "A Multicenter, Randomized, Parallel-Controlled Clinical Trial on the Efficacy of Winona Baby Soothing Hydrating Cream in Improving Clinical Symptoms of Atopic Dermatitis in Infants Aged 0-2 Years". The research mentioned in the above speech is a multicenter, double-blind, randomized, parallel-controlled trial jointly conducted by the dermatology departments of the Beijing Children's Hospital, Capital Medical University, the Children's Hospital of Fudan University, the Shenzhen Children's Hospital, the Kunming Children's Hospital, and the First Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University. Infants aged 0-2 years with AD received this trial. The conclusion is that the Winona Baby Soothing Hydrating Cream can significantly reduce the risk of AD relapse when being used for the auxiliary treatment of AD in children during the remission period.
Winona Baby is the first brand in China to conduct clinical efficacy tests between children aged 0-2 years and those aged 2-12 years. Currently, the results of this research have been published in international journals, serving as a reference model for relevant research at home and abroad. Through rigorous scientific research and innovation practices, it has promoted the scientific expertise and professionalism of China's child skincare products to a world-leading level.
Meanwhile, Professor Liu Xiaoyan, Chairperson of the Pediatric Dermatology Professional Committee of the Chinese Association for Improving Birth Outcome and Child Development, Professor Ma Lin, Chairperson-designate of the same committee, and other pediatric dermatology specialists jointly announced the official launch of the "Winona Baby Project for Aiding Children with AD".
To better aid families having children with AD and promote children's skin health, the Pediatric Dermatology Professional Committee of the Chinese Association for Improving Birth Outcome and Child Development, in collaboration with Winona Baby, has initiated the "Winona Baby Project for Aiding Children with AD". This project, funded by the "Red Cross Society-Winona Public Welfare Fund" jointly initiated by Botanee Group and the Humanitarian Resource Mobilization Center of Yunnan Red Cross, aims to provide targeted financial assistance to hospitals for their treatment of children aged 0-12 years with moderate-to-severe AD who come from economically disadvantaged families, making contributions to children's skin health.
Children's health serves as a significant cornerstone of public health. Thus, Botanee Group, along with its Winona Baby brand, has actively responded to the call of the Outline of the Healthy China 2030 Plan, a national initiative, to aid families having children with AD, thereby promoting children's skin health. In the future, Winona Baby will stay committed to strengthening its collaboration with universities, hospitals and research institutes and make continued efforts to explore solutions to infants' and children's skin issues, promote industry development, and safeguard babies' skin health.
